This is long, a bit sloppy but ultimately a lot fun…TWSS (the running joke of the evening.) Recorded at a house concert in the Fox Den in Piedmont, this podcast features live tunes and some hilarious conversation with Bay Area acts Lapel and Static and Surrender.
Debbie Neigher, along with various supporting members, is Lapel, a dreamy synth-pop band that blew us away. It was nice to deviate a bit from our standard acoustic rock/folk/Americana format and we urge everyone to check out their debut album “Periphery.”
Static and Surrender frontman Jeff Campbell has been a longtime friend of Renee and Irish Greg dating back to the KFOG years. His latest project Static and Surrender has him teaming up with brothers Adam and John Schuman, a trio that write effortless songs with beautiful harmonies. In between jello shots and irreverent banter the trio managed to squeeze in exquisite covers of Bowie, STP and the Zombies along with a bunch of originals.
